COMPASS People
What is it?

COMPASS links students, professors, campus ministers, and dynamic professionals from every field in a network of present and future Catholic leaders. "COMPASS People" gives you a chance to get to know your fellow COMPASS members, to remind you that you are not alone in your efforts to take college life in a new direction. Each week we'll give you one or two new profiles, and we'll leave the past few for your browsing pleasure.

Caroline Cleveland

Caroline enjoying the fresh, mountain, Austrian air of Y2K.

Caroline was born in New Orleans, LA and lived there with her five sisters and parents until she graduated from high school and moved to Nashville, TN. After spending a summer in Austria and Italy with the inaugural COMPASS crew, Caroline graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and a Bachelor of Science in Community Development. She has moved to Washington, DC and is currently a Child Advocate and Tutoring Coordinator for Community Family Life Services, working on behalf of the children living in the public housing projects. She is also working on opening a new non-profit with three of her co-workers that will serve the same impoverished population. The program is called Kid Power DC and will be an arts-based after-school program for the children at a specific charter school in Southeast DC.
